Post Graduate Certificate in Ethical Leadership

Next start date, January 2024 | Fee $1650

Introduction

Leadership and Ethics are two critical skills required in any work environment, especially in the health sciences.

This PG Certificate, delivered by FCD in partnership with UWC is a 20 South African Credit / 10 ECTS course. It covers many of the ethical challenges we encounter when  working in the health sciences. You will not learn easy solutions to hard problems, but students who complete the course will have the tools to address the ethical challenges they face in a systematic and ethically sound way.

Leadership means many things to different people, and the skills required to lead, work, communicate and negotiate with different colleagues are many and varied.  Leadership is about action not a job title, but issues around race, gender, identity and power cannot be ignored if one is to effectively lead others as ethically as possible. Similar to the ethics module, you will find easy answers, however at the end of the certificate you will be have the skill set to review, evaluate and implement solutions to problems typically encountered in the work environment.

Support your career in an area where many professionals, no matter how technically brilliant, struggle: understanding, influencing and leading others.

This certificate provides a possible path to the PG diplomas in Regulatory Sciences, Clinical Operations and Data Management for Health Researchers and the M.Sc. in Pharmacy Administration and Regulatory Policy for those who do not meet normal entry criteria.
